“Thank you, reader! But this blog is at a new website!”

I hate to be the Toadstool to your Mario, but this blog has undergone a minor reboot. Reclaimer 105 can now be found over at reclaimer105.com with a new look. New posts begin tomorrow with Fallout February. Thank you for coming back and I look forward to sharing great things with you in the future!

[Game Paused]

Reclaimer is hitting the pause button this week and next to recoup and prepare for great things to come. It is recommended that you go back and revisit some previous posts to comment and discuss whatever new insights you may have had. Don’t be shy, share what you really think.

What are these great things to come you ask? Well, March is going to be a very exciting month. Reclaimer 105 is officially declaring March to be:

MASS EFFECT MARCH!!

The final chapter of the trilogy releases March 6th and starting that week you can expect posts about Mass Effect 1 and 2. We’ll look at the overarching narrative along with the various races, characters, and subplots. We’ll end Mass Effect March by taking a week to examine how everything wraps up in Mass Effect 3. So charge your biotics and refuel our Mako so you can make it back in a couple weeks to dive into this epic space opera.

Greetings!

Welcome to the inaugural post of Reclaimer 105! Today is a special day in that it is the 10th anniversary of the release of Halo: Combat Evolved. Frankly, it makes me feel old since it seems like yesterday that I was exploring Halo for the first time and having epic all-night LAN parties. The Halo series is my favorite series of games and they are a big reason why I love video games. The very name for this blog is inspired by the concept of a “reclaimer” from the Halo games, this is explained further in the “About” section. If you’ve gotten yourself a copy of Halo Anniversary, this blog will hopefully give you some things to think about as you play through the campaign again. Check back for a new post every week (the next few weeks will be about Halo games) and please feel free to discuss what you read in the comments!
